Carolina Holguin

Carolina is a dedicated bilingual (English-Spanish) speech language pathologist. Carolina graduated from Seton Hall University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary, Early Childhood and Special Education while also majoring in English. Carolina later went on to earn her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Seton Hall University in 2022.

Throughout Carolina’s experiences of learning about and working as a Speech Language Pathologist she is often asked “why did you choose this field?” or “how did you know you wanted to be a speech pathologist?” Carolina’s condensed answer was and still is “I want to help others.” Carolina’s parents immigrated to this country in search of better opportunities for her brother and herself and it was her goal from an early age to make sure that the sacrifices made, the tears shed, and the hard work put in, would be worth it. This promise has allowed Carolina to continue to look forward while honoring her past. As a speech-language pathologist in an ever-changing and multi-cultural world she does just that– honor her patient’s past while helping them grow into the new days ahead. Carolina provides culturally competent services across the lifespan serving a range of disorders in collaboration with members of the community and is someone that her clients and their loved ones can lean on.

Carolina has provided individual and group services via teletherapy and in-person to students diagnosed with mental health disorders, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, specific learning disability, communication impairment, and auditory impairment with a focus on areas of AAC, cognition, articulation, phonological processes, fluency, semantics, syntax, and discourse.

Currently, Carolina utilizes her love, dedication, and knowledge about speech language pathology to serve each and every single patient and caregiver as a speech language pathologist for the public school system across all grade levels.  Carolina strives to listen with her heart and in turn, help those she serves unlock the potential that is within them.
